Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo

NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) Following the devastating blizzard that postponed slack, the Oklahoma panhandle weather warmed back up and the 85th Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo went on to pay out over $250,000 to top competitors.

Trevor Brazile, 23-time World Champion from Decatur, Texas, had a phenomenal weekend in Guymon. He won the average in the tie-down roping, the All-Around title, and took home over $7,100.

Tacy Nowlin took first place the barrel racing and pocketed over $4,800. Hailey Kinsel, 2018 RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN Barrel Racing Champion, placed second by only two hundredths of a second and won over $4,000.

In the bull riding Roscoe Jarboe had an 84 point ride on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s “Apollo’s Gold” to tie for the win with Trevor Reiste. Both cowboys took home over $3,300.

In the team roping it was a tie between Brooks Dahozy and Tommy Zuniga and Charley Crawford and Joseph Harrison. Each team was 23.6 on four head.

Rusty Wright had an 87 point on Powder River Rodeo’s “Look Again’ to tie with Heith DeMoss to each earn over $3,000.

Ty Erickson took first place in the steer wrestling, and Clayton Biglow won the bareback riding.
