Trey Kimzey, younger brother to 3- time Championship Bull Riding (CBR) Champion, Sage, went to his first CBR event of the season this week in South Dakota. Trey was able to finish the first night in 4th after an 86.5 point ride on ‘Kojack.’ We were able to catch up with Trey to talk about what it means to compete professionally, his plans for his professional career, and how he’s still staying involved in his family’s business of trick riding.

The 18-year-old just graduated from high school this spring and got his Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) permit in January. We wish him the best of luck with all his rodeo goals.

Sage, who celebrated his 23rd birthday earlier this week, is currently winning Armstrong, British Columbia with this 85.75 ride on Calgary Stampede’s “Compton Bound”.

Sage is also placing at the Sanders County Fair and PRCA rodeo in Plains, Montana, with this 84.5 point ride on D&H Cattle Company’s bull “Pill Pusher”. The 3x PRCA World Champion is number 1 in PRCA World Standings with over $220,000 220 thousand and only needs to win about $8,000 more to break the regular season earnings record.
