FarmHer Hosts the Second Annual ‘I am FarmHer’ Event

Designed to Connect and Inspire Women in Agriculture

(NASHVILLE, TENN. — March 22, 2018) Women in agriculture will continue to be inspired, connected, and empowered through their participation in FarmHer’s second annual ‘I am FarmHer’ event this June.

‘I am FarmHer’ will bring together women from all walks of life, both professionals and producers, who share a love for agriculture and a desire to collaboratively bring light to how their lifestyles are impacting the world around them. Whether attendees are looking to expand their knowledge of the industry or leave with valuable connections, this event will be the destination for women in agriculture this summer.

“FarmHer strives to offer women in agriculture a place to connect and gain inspiration, and this event does just that,” says Marji Guyler-Alaniz, President and Founder of FarmHer. “I am thrilled to be bringing this event back for our second year and am looking forward to meeting and learning from FarmHers across the country.”

A lineup of dynamic speakers who are FarmHers themselves will be featured this year. Speakers include Holly Hoffman, author and finalist on NBC’s hit series, Survivor; Cristen Clark, pig farmer and food blogger at ‘Food and Swine’; and Marlene Eick, co-owner of Herdmark Media and life coach. Marji Guyler-Alaniz will talk about her purpose for creating FarmHer and share inspiration for finding your journey with FarmHer. Panel discussions will include women’s health and agriculture policy.

This year’s event will be Monday, June 25 through Wednesday, June 27 at the InterContinental Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri.

A limited number of tickets are now available. Early bird pricing closes April 15th. Tickets are available for producers and agribusiness professionals. About FarmHer:

FarmHer was founded in 2013 to change the image of agriculture, depicting women taking an active role in the industry through photographs and by sharing their stories. It quickly became clear that women in agriculture not only appreciated FarmHer, but they needed it. And they asked for more. Today, FarmHer has grown into much more than just a gallery of images; it is changing the way people perceive a farmer. Through an online community, events, and a weekly TV show, FarmHer continues to update the image of agriculture to include women. Women are rising to the forefront of agriculture and FarmHer is excited to be a driving force behind this effort. Learn more at FarmHer.com.
