NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) The East Kentucky Power Cooperative is constructing a 60 acre solar farm to give its members the option of cost efficient renewable energy. 

In the past 12 months, solar power has contributed 1.37 percent of total U.S. electricity.
