The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement

NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) The U.S. and Canada have reached a new trade deal, saving a trilateral pact. Major sticking points threatened to stall talks, but Canada signed the accord late Sunday, now called the “United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.”

Details are thin, but, in a win for U.S. dairy producers, Canada will suspend its Class 7 Milk Policy, which is said to have caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damage to U.S. exports. Canada secured exemptions from U.S. auto tariffs, but the U.S. Steel and Aluminum Tax will remain for now. The agreement is expected to be submitted to Congress today. There will be a 60 day review period before President Donald Trump can sign it. The Administration hopes to have the deal signed before Mexico’s current President leaves office December 1.
