The Crop Harvest Insurance deadline for most spring planted crops is today, December 10th, according to USDA’s risk management officials. RFD-TV’s Sarah Mock brings us the reminder. As cold and wet weather pushes harvest back across the country, farmers still in the combine need to ensure they remain in compliance with their crop insurance policy. The Undersecretary says even for unharvestable crops, farmers still need to contact their crop insurance agent to have their crop evaluated and make a claim as soon as possible. USDA says to touch base with the organization that issued your crop insurance policy, for more information on filing for an extension.
