USDA Responds to Crop Tour Threats

Many are following the Pro-Farmer Tour closer than ever this year after shocking numbers from the USDA's August report. Agency employees were part of the tour this week but after one of them received a phone threat, the USDA decided to pull them off. We asked Zaner Ag Hedge's Ted Seifried about it on Wednesday.

A USDA statement says they pulled staff "as a precaution.." but Seifried says overall the people he has encountered on the tour have been as courteous as they always are. Federal Protective Services are investigating the incident.
