An ideal growing season offers bigger yields for Washington's iconic crop.

According to Washington's Tree Fruit Association Survey, growers estimate the 2019 apple harvest will yield 137 and a half million boxes up 18 percent from 2018. Plus organic production is expected to increase by 23 percent.

The study found more Washington apple growers are transitioning from conventional to organic to meet consumer demand.
