Hemp Farming in Half of States
Half of all U.S. states now dabble in hemp farming.
That's according to an analysis from Forbes Tate Partners. Montana and Colorado led the country as the biggest hemp growing states last year, cultivating more than 20-thousand acres. Nebraska had the smallest program with only one acre, but there are plans to change that with an expanded hemp program in the works.
The USDA hopes to release production rules as soon as this month.
