Plant-Based Protein Demand Projected To Increase

The plant-based protein market is estimated to be worth 40-billion-dollars by 2025.

That's according to a research study by Markets And Markets. The report says the sector is driven by increasing demand for healthy food products and plant-based meat because of the increase in obesity levels, mainly due to the consumption of fast food and packaged food.

Elanco CEO Jeff Simmons tells Brownfield Ag News that the ag industry should not be worried about demand as animal meat consumption is the highest it's ever been in the United States.
