Aid on the way for Dakota producers after pre-winter blizzard

Dakota producers could see some aid after a pre-winter blizzard delays harvest.

State officials requested disaster declaration earlier this week. Producers in the wheat & barley industry say the storm could present problems that linger into next year’s growing season. The executive director for the North Dakota grain growers association says they’ve received excellent help.

Wogsland says North Dakota has wheat still standing in the state, which he calls “unheard of” for this late in the month.
