Kansas Livestock Association denies fund misuse

The Kansas Livestock Association denies accusations they are misusing funds.

According to Brownfield Ag News, the organization for competitive markets says KLA improperly obtained funds through its affiliation with the Kansas Beef Council. They want Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue to disqualify the group as a state collector of taxes.

An attorney for the organization says the allegations against KLA are false and they have documents and evidence to support that. He also says independent audits show funds are being spent appropriately.
