Following a high school football game between Sherman High and West Mesquite High in Texas, two players on opposite teams shared a moment that went beyond sports.

After the game, Sherman player Gage Smith walked over to Ty Jordan of West Mesquite to ask if he could pray with him for his mother who had been diagnosed with cancer.

“So this happened after the game. Gage Smith #2, Sherman High, told Ty ‘I heard about your mother I’m sorry and I wanna pray with you,’” Jordan’s aunt Takka wrote on Facebook. “This melts my heart ?????”
