Volunteers for the Tiny Trees organization in Tennessee decorated and donated 753 trees for long-term children's hospital patients this year.

Each year, volunteers bring the trees to the East Tennessee Children's Hospital so patients staying two nights or more can have a tree of their own which they get to keep when they leave.

The tradition has been going on for almost a decade after Melissa France started the organization when her daughter had recently finished cancer treatment and she wanted to give back.

Each three-foot tree is decorated a little bit differently.

"We're encouraged by the amount of people who have responded," France told WBIR It's been very delightful to see the program grow year after year, and we're so thankful to those who continue to contribute to us each year," France said.
