Florida police respond to calls of cattle on highway

Cattle on Road

It was an unusual traffic jam in Florida on New Year’s Eve as several cattle wandered onto a highway.

Police say they got calls around 6:30 a.m. about multiple cows and bulls along the busy highway. Cowboys on horseback and police began to wrangle the cattle but would need additional help.

Eventually, Apopka police said they called in Orange County Sheriff’s Office’s agriculture unit because it had more resources to capture the cattle.
