Dairy Industry Reacts to Coronavirus Stimulus Bill

The Coronavirus Relief Bill/COVID-19 Stimulus Package awaits approval from the House and later the president. RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison speaks with Alan Bjerga of the National Milk Producers Federation on what the $9.5 billion dollars will mean for the ag sector, specifically the dairy industry.

Bjerga says that this bill is essential for the dairy industry, specifically because its products are perishable and very seasonal. Bjerga states, “Dairy got specifically noted as one of the commodities that they want to make sure that this $9.5 billion dollars is going to...the specific acknowledgement of dairy’s unique issues by Congress in this bill is very heartening...We appreciate the serious attention being given to dairy’s needs.”
