There is now a nationwide push to phaseout gas-powered cars

There is now a nationwide push to phase out new gas-powered cars by 2035.

Democrats introduced the Zero Emission Vehicles Act, similar to a measure introduced in California last month.

It would set the first federal zero emission vehicle standard and it would require battery and fuel cell vehicles to account for 50 percent of new sales by 2025. Then zero emissions by 2035.

Corn and soybean farmers expressed concern over the California bill that it will sink ethanol demand. There is also a concern about the implication of farm vehicles.
