A massive winter storm has immobilized the southern plains, leaving producers working to keep livestock protected.
Another round of winter weather is set to move into Oklahoma this afternoon, bringing more snow to the state.
Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s Cody Goodknight speaks with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on his state’s current conditions, the weather’s impact on livestock, and how producers can best protect their animals.
“Main goal is taking care of cattle right now-- cattle and horses both. Of course, we are not used to this kind of weather... it was -3 degrees when we started this morning, and we’ve gone a little bit over a week, about eight days, we haven’t been above freezing... It’s certainly unusual for us,” Goodknight states.
