NASCAR to have COVID sniffing dogs at Sunday’s race

On Sunday, NASCAR will be holding their Atlanta Motor Speedway race, and there will be a few more paws on the ground than normal.

On Tuesday, the organization announced that they will be employing COVID-detecting dogs for the race. The dogs will be from the 360 K9 Group.

The dogs are basically used as an initial detection system. If and after a dog indicates a fan, or individual, might have the coronavirus they will be taken for a second screening.

The NBA has also used COVID sniffing dogs for Miami Heat basketball games.
