Horses and burros from the West are being offered in Michigan next month.

On May 14-15, the Bureau of Land Management will have horses for adoption at ranch in Cassoplis, Michigan, which is near the Indiana border.

Suzette Hudak, owner of the ranch where the event is being held, told the Detroit News the animals are typically a little older and that this is one of the best adoption sites the Bureau has.

Hudak does not know how many head will be brought, but she said in the past it was between 40 and 60 with different breeds being offered.
