Tx Ag Commissioner Miller on why he filed a lawsuit against the USDA

A familiar face in agriculture is suing USDA for racial discrimination.

Texas Ag Commissioner Sid Miller filed the lawsuit Monday. It centers around the distribution of the most recent pandemic aid package, which set aside debt relief for black farmers. The lawsuit claims that it is illegal to favor financial aid based on skin color.

He spoke with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on why he decided to file the lawsuit and what he is calling for. Miller also touches on the crisis at the border.

“I’m tired of all this woke business and racial discrimination-- and that’s what this is. I think we have a very good case,” Miller explains. “You can’t award government funds based on your skin color. It’s just wrong... let’s just treat all farmers equal.”
