6,000 volunteers show up to help Oregon farmer in need

Thousands of volunteers showed up to help an Oregon farmer pick asparagus.

The owner was having trouble hiring seasonal workers, as many of you have experienced first-hand.

Shay Myers took his frustrations to social media explaining he was even willing to pay $16 dollars an hour. What happened next is nothing short of amazing.

Some 6,000 volunteers showed up last Saturday to hand-pick 35 acres of asparagus. They did it for free! Myers let each volunteer take home a bucket of the crop.
