Wine tasting computer helps winemakers improve their business

A tech start-up that taught a computer to taste wine is now helping winemakers improve their business. It’s using chemistry and artificial intelligence to study tens of thousands of wine varieties each year. And the technology even generates a flavor profile.

Brands will pay the start-up, Tastry, to have their bottle analyzed, and will then have access to see how their wine is perceived in the market. The AI will streamline the blending process by suggesting which tanks to use. The company will soon offer services in Europe and is even conducting
tests for beers, spirits, and coffee!
