The four issues facing the beef industry

Rabobank says that four issues are reshaping the beef supply chain. These include automation, packaging, sustainability, and transportation.

Rabobank says that these challenges are causing a fundamental shift from a “just in time” delivery model to a “just in case” approach over the next three to five years.

The group says that USDA grants and loans are supporting faster adoption of automation, which could be one solution to the ongoing labor shortage.
