The longer sanctions against Russia continue, the bigger the supply shock is expected to be for the global grain markets.
University of Illinois Economist, Dr. Scott Irwin says this creates the need to open the Conservation Reserve Program to crops. He spoke with RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison about what we could expect to see regarding grain production as tensions continue, how he sees opening CRP to crops helping producers amid these challenges and if there’s any other options in helping to alleviate the pressure.
