Canadian Pacific Railway plans to lock out its engineers and conductors starting Sunday.
Railway workers were expected to strike early this morning, but now the railway warns they will impose a lockout a little after midnight on Sunday if they fail to reach an agreement.
Almost 100 percent are in favor of protesting over low wages, benefits, and pensions.
Western Grain Elevators Association says that a work stoppage could make the railway struggles go from terrible to catastrophic, by crippling the flow of goods throughout the Canadian economy.
