First five months of fiscal year have been the best for exports

U.S. ag export values are continuing to set records. In fact, a USDA economist says that the first five months of the fiscal year have been the best ever.

According to Bart Kenner, “Each month in this fiscal year has been higher than that month and any previous year to date... October was an overall record at $17.6 billion... November broke that record by $18.5 billion.”

The same goes for December, January, and February.

Overall, U.S. ag exports are running 9 percent ahead of last year’s record pace of more than $84 billion dollars.
