Supply chain crunch is impacting the availability and cost of ammonium sulfate

With some parts of the country experiencing a cool, wet spring, nutrients in the soil may be hard to come by. That has some growers turning to ammonium sulfate to get both corn and soybeans off to a good start.

AdvanSix is the largest single-site manufacturer of ammonium sulfate, or AMS.

Plant Nutrients Vice President and Business Director, Mike Hamilton, spoke with RFD-TV’s own Suzanne Alexander about how rising fertilizer prices are impacting the price of AMS, its value in today’s fertilizer market, how the availability looks given supply chain disruptions, how AMS performs with extreme weather conditions and some of its benefits.
