Ongoing windy and dry conditions are sparking wildfires across the U.S.

Farmland all across the country are being impacted by wildfires right now.

The ongoing dry and windy conditions have sparked flames from Arizona all the way to Florida, including a prairie fire in rural southwestern Nebraska that has burned an estimated 50,000 acres and two fires that have combined into one in New Mexico also burning a collective 56,000 acres.

More than 1,300 square miles have burned so far in the U.S. this year.

Officials at the National Interagency Fire Center says this amount of land is outpacing the 10-year average by almost 30%.
