Students head to the orchard to learn about Idaho’s organic industry

Organic agriculture is a growing sector in Idaho that contributes more than $200 million to the state’s economy.

The University of Idaho has an Organic Agriculture Center and orchard where students learn.

The Center’s certified organic heirloom fruit orchard produces 68 varieties of apples and eight varieties of pears.
