“Next Couple Days Are Going to Be Tough": NM Ag Secretary has an update on Calf Canyon Fire

An update on the country’s largest wildfire.

The Calf Canyon Fire in New Mexico has now reached nearly 148,000 acres. Thousands of people are evacuating their homes with it only 20 percent contained, and strong winds continue fueling the flames. Producers are working to protect their operations.

New Mexico Agriculture Secretary Jeff Witte spoke with RFD-TV’s own Janet Adkison on current conditions, the impact to agriculture, and what ripple effects may be felt in the future.
