The Greenbackers of Durham, Connecticut are selling their farm. The 415-acre Brookfield Farm has a current listing price of $4,999,000 dollars.

The Greenbacker family has owned the property since 1983, but the property has been a part of the community for more than 100 years, according to the Sotheby’s International Realty listing. In 1979, the property was protected from development when the development rights were sold to the State of Connecticut, Patch reports.

The listing includes woodlands, multiple barns, seven houses, livestock facilities, and the two parcels of land divided by Route 68.

Four years prior, the family sold off their dairy cow herds, and the decision to sell the land was “inevitable” after that, Joe Greenbacker states.
