The ethanol industry is lined up for a record trade year

The Renewable Fuels Association says ethanol production in the United States is gaining traction around the globe.

The Association’s Industry Relations Vice President, Robert White, tells Brownfield Ag News, “the trade front is great. It’s all lining up to be a record year.”

He says U.S. ethanol can play a factor in lowering prices at the pump.

“Fuel prices are high. This is a global issue thanks to the Russia situation in Ukraine and supply in general,” said White.

The RFA has been working closely with countries like Japan and Peru to purchase U.S. ethanol.
