This Indiana FarmHer is helping fight food insecurity through protein-powered, nutrient-dense dairy products

It is the season of giving and a fourth generation dairy FarmHer gives back in a big way with a passion for fighting food insecurity.

Sam Schwoeppe farms with her husband Darren and their two songs in Indiana. She first began working with food banks as a regional dairy manager with Feeding America.
She says that her passion for combatting food insecurity came at a young age when her family fostered different children from different backgrounds and cared for a malnourished boy.

She says that milk is a perfect food to bridge nutrition gaps.

Sadly, the complete protein source is actually one of the least donated products at food banks. The FarmHer says that through her work with Feeding America, she gets the opportunity to work with many dairy cooperatives including her own, Prairie Farms, teaming up to get nutrient-dense dairy to consumers in need.
