Time for Change: What farm groups say about President Trump’s re-election

The results are in, and the nation now knows the direction of the next four years. Former President Donald Trump is once again president-elect, and this has brought much reaction from the ag community.

The results were clear early on, showing much of the map turning red. NBC News reports that Trump over-performed in rural areas, with voters sending a clear message that something must be done about the economy.

AFBF President Zippy Duvall commented on the results, saying in part, “Now that the American people have spoken, it’s time to put politics aside and begin the work of ensuring families nationwide can prosper. Among the most pressing issues in rural America is the need for a new, modernized farm bill. The two-year delay is unacceptable.”
