Trump picks Stephen Vaden as Deputy Secretary of Agriculture

Another member of the upcoming Trump Administration has been named. Stephen Vaden has been tapped to serve as President-elect Trump’s Deputy Agriculture Secretary.

During the first Trump Administration, Vaden served as General Counsel for USDA. President-elect Trump touted Vaden’s record of winning two cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and relocating and reorganizing agencies within the Department to serve rural Americans better.

The soon-to-be Deputy Ag Secretary oversaw the implementation of the 2018 Farm Bill, the legalization of industrial hemp, and the regulation of bio-engineered crops. He currently lives in Union City, Tennessee, where he helps manage his family’s farm.
