USDA Under Secretary Robert Bonnie shares resources for Hurricane Helene victims

Hurricane Helene has caused billions in crop losses during a year when every penny counts.

USDA Under Secretary Robert Bonnie says the Department will be there to offer any support they can to farmers impacted by the storm.

“There’s a lot of work that FEMA and other folks are doing, the National Guard and others, to restore communication, not just communication, but energy, clean water, all those types of things. We’ve got some USDA crews that are part of that response. Our big job is going to be long-term recovery, and we’re going to have to be with farmers and ranchers for a long time to come to help them recover from this.”
