Wyoming wildfires have burned more than 28,000 acres in the eastern part of the state

Communities are coming together in Wyoming as farmers and ranchers fight off devastating wildfires.

Two fires have burned more than 28,000 acres in the eastern portion of the state. Ranchers have evacuated livestock.

A third-generation rancher says that his family managed to save their animals, but lost multiple summer pastures.
Another producer considers himself lucky after his home and farm buildings were spared, but the fire destroyed more than 8,000 acres of pasture. Neighbors rushed to his ranch in the night to defend buildings.

The largest fire is now 90% contained.
