Out of Touch & Not Listening: Lawmakers reacting to President Biden’s veto of lesser prairie chicken bill

U.S. Senator Roger Marshall and Representative Mann issued strong statements following President Biden’s veto of protecting the lesser prairie chicken from being listed as an endangered species.

Marshall, expressed disappointment over President Biden’s decision, stating, “Today’s actions show how out of touch Biden is with rural America and our successful conservation efforts.”

Mann echoed these sentiments, saying, “Once again, President Biden has refused to listen to Congress.”

Sen. Marshall’s Congressional Review Act, or CRA, passed the Senate in May with a narrow margin of 50-48, and in July, the measure made its way through the U.S. House.
