You might be noticing higher diesel prices at the pump, here’s why

Weak demand has fuel prices trending lower with the exception of diesel.

GasBuddy shows the average diesel price rose this week by nearly $0.04. It is now around $4.48 per gallon. Despite the increase, it is still $0.82 lower than a year ago.

Gasoline prices have fallen for the fifth straight week nationwide to $3.50, which is down $0.33 from last month and $0.27 off a year ago.

GasBuddy says the trend is likely to continue until prices bottom out near the holiday season.
