After a brief solo country career in the early 2000s, Sonya has continued to make her mark in Nashville as both a songwriter and a vocalist. Her songs have been recorded by some of the most distinct voices in country music including Trisha Yearwood, Leann Rimes, Martina McBride and Vince Gill. She’s performed as a background vocalist for Reba, Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley. In fact, kids recognize her as a background singer for Miley Cyrus in “Hannah Montana: The Movie.” Sonya is married to singer-songwriter Jimmy Yeary and they have two sons, Ayden & Gatlyn.
