Trump is the First Sitting President to Address the AFBF Since George HW Bush in 1992.

(NASHVILLE, TENN. — January 9th, 2018) RFD-TV, The Cowboy Channel, and RURAL RADIO Channel 147 on SiriusXM covered Monday’s presidential address to farmers and ranchers across the U.S. as President Donald Trump spoke to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s (AFBF) annual convention, live from Nashville TN. The speech was presented to the largest national non-profit, non-governmental, voluntary organization that represents farmers and ranchers for America’s largest industry: Agriculture.

In addition to the presidential speech, RFD-TV received an exclusive one-on-one interview with the President. RFD-TV also aired a post-speech roundtable discussion and analysis, as well as covered Secretary Sonny Perdue’s address to attendees, alongside interviews with state Farm Bureau presidents, including Zippy Duvall, president of AFBF.

After the speech aired, RFD-TV invited a roundtable of experts to discuss President Trump's Speech. Agriculture journalists Catherine Boudreau of Politico, Jerry Hagstrom of the Hagstrom Report, commodity broker and consultant Chris Swift, and RFD-TV Executive Producer, Katie Dehlinger joined us to provide insights on what Trump's speech means for American farmers and ranchers. Watch the segments here.
