Canada’s new strategy for dealing with China

The Canada West Foundation publishes a new report suggesting Canada has found a new strategy on dealing with China.

Shaun Haney, the host of RealAg Radio, speaks with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on those suggestions, how it will impact relationships with other trading partners, and what the situation is moving forward.

“The conversation has become way too narrow in regards to Canada and China. If Canada wants to defend its interest then it needs to actively consider and put into place a full array of interests and policy responses that include opportunities to continue to engage with China and not just walk away like Canada has done...,” Haney states. “You can fight against human rights violations that China’s engaged in, at the same time you can continue to try and boost your agricultural exports to the country...”
