Feral hog populations are on the rise and they are becoming a bigger problem for farmers and ranchers. That is why USDA is investing more than $11 million dollars to help ag producers and landowners control the population of destructive swine.
NRCS acting Chief Kevin Norton speaks with RFD-TV’s own Christina Loren on how big of an issue feral swine are, how the funding will be used, and what regions they will be focused on.
“It’s a growing threat to agriculture. Not only from the destruction they pose to the environment, but also from communicating disease and impacting native wildlife populations to the point that their contributing to negative population issues... Overall they are just a train wreck,” he states.
