High Pathogenic Avian Influenza Hits Missouri Commercial Poultry Flock

High Pathogenic Avian Influenza continues to pop up on the map, and Missouri is the latest state to report an outbreak.

It was found in a commercial poultry flock, and samples were taken after a sudden increase in mortality in the flock. The Missouri Department of Agriculture veterinary officials have quarantined the affected areas, and birds on the property will not enter the food system.
