This team tackles & tracks current drought conditions so you can prepare

Much of the Great Plains and western U.S. is experiencing drought, following one of the driest winters on record.

Producers are now wondering what they can expect this summer and how to best prepare.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln National Drought Mitigation Center‘s Curtis Riganti spoke with RFD-TV’s own Suzanne Alexander about how his team tracks drought, some of the conditions he is current seeing in different regions, how this situation compares historically to others and some are some tools homeowners can use for mitigation.
