Cowboy Stories: Shada Brazile

The other half of one of the most recognizable husband and wife teams in the sport of rodeo, Shada Brazile is an accomplished athlete in her own right.

Riding her horse, Dial It Fast, Brazile finished the 2013 season ranked eighth in the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association world standings.

Her brothers, Clif and Tuf Cooper, are NFR-qualifying calf ropers and the siblings compete alongside one another at marquee events across the nation.

Her equine partner, Dial It Fast, is a 2006 bay gelding sired by Dashin Is Easy out of Dial It In, by Easy Jet.

Brazile qualified for her first NFR in 2013 after a huge win at the San Antonio Stock Show catapulted her to a top spot in the world standings. The model and homeschooling mother of two also made her first appearance at the famed Calgary Stampede in 2013.

When she is not running barrels, Brazile works on fashion designs for a line of children’s clothing and enjoys sports, especially running, which helps her stay in shape to ride and run barrels at the elite level.

The Brazile family will be well represented when The American hits AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on March 2.
