White House announces major spending for zero emissions programs, including freight

The White House’s push for zero emissions continues, and the Administration has announced new spending for big changes to ag transportation.

To help phase out diesel-powered vehicles, like delivery trucks, the EPA will spend nearly a billion dollars helping municipalities replace them with zero emissions models.

At ports, the DOT and Department of Energy have announced nearly half a billion dollars in grants for integrating electric trucks. Also, another $1.5 billion will be dished out for various programs to transition from diesel-powered trains.
