A closer look at the increase in U.S. tractor sales

Despite pandemic disruptions, U.S. tractor sales are up 18 percent for the year. That is according to the Association of Equipment Manufacture’s month flash report.

Senior Vice President of Ag Services, Curt Blades speaks with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on how the numbers compare to last year, what is contributing to the increase, steel prices, and combines.

“2020 we ended the year 18 percent up for all tractors for the year, which is pretty great news. Despite the pandemic, despite all the other head winds that have been facing the economy and the ag economy, that’s pretty good news,” he states. “The story behind the numbers is that a good chunk of those sales were under 40 horsepower tractors.”
