Wisconsin’s Department of Natural Resources has been ordered to have a gray wolf hunting season this month.
The department failed to schedule a hunt after the wolf was removed from the Endangered Species List back in January.
Groups sued and a judge ruled in their favor.
The state says that it plans to appeal. Court documents cite President Biden’s regulator review of the decision, which could result in re-listing the wolf as endangered.
